Partnership for Awareness invites you to a special evening highlighting the voices of San Marino High School students as they tackle critical topics in mental health through film.

On Tuesday, March 25, at 6:30 PM, Partnership for Awareness will host a screening of San Marino High School Advanced Media Arts students’ entries for the Directing Change Youth Film Contest at the Crowell Public Library’s Barth Room. These compelling, student-created 60-second PSAs focus on suicide prevention and mental health awareness—important issues for our youth and our community.

Each student filmmaker will introduce their work, sharing insights into their research and creative process. After the screening, San Marino Unified School District Wellness Counselors Tonya El Hendi, LCSW, and Peijen Chen, AMFT, will lead a discussion on mental health resources available to students in SMUSD.

This event is free and open to all—parents, students, educators, and community members are encouraged to attend.

Date: Tuesday, March 25
Time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Location: Barth Room, Crowell Public Library (1890 Huntington Dr, San Marino)

We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful event that amplifies student voices and fosters an important conversation on mental health.
